In 1997 Clemence Hwarire began making hand woven basket in a tiny garage. Despite these humble beginnings the business grew and now known as Human Loom Enterprises, provides employment for many of its strategic partners.

The company also has a showroom on its premises and exports products as far field as New the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. The product range includes bread baskets, Lampshades, as well as furniture fittings for bathroom living room and kitchens. One of our new range includes kitchens with woven doors as well as fitted wardrobes with woven doors. New items are constantly being added to the product range with custom made products also being available.
In 1998 Human Loom was awarded a Merit Certificate at the kitchen and bath-room fair.
In 2000 Human Loom was awarded a Bronze Medal for SA Handmade product of the year organized by SARCDA.
In 2001 the company was awarded a Silver Medal for SA Handmade product of the year organized by SARCDA.
In 2002 Human Loom was awarded a Silver Medal and a Gold Medal for SA Handmade product of the year organized by SARCDA.
Products were exhibited at the FNB Millennium Vita craft 2000 exhibition.
The company was commissioned to supply furniture for the world summit on sustainable Development.
